Changes in public perception of AI in healthcare after exposure to ChatGPT

The paradigm is the positive impact of exposure to user-friendly AI tools on the public perception of AI in healthcare.

This preprint presents research findings within the existing paradigm of understanding public perception of AI and how first-hand experience can shape these perceptions. The research does not challenge the existing paradigm, rather it contributes to the accumulating knowledge within the paradigm by investigating the specific case of ChatGPT's influence on public perception of AI in healthcare. This study adds to the body of 'normal science' research being conducted within this field and therefore contributes to the existing paradigm, it neither suggests Model Drift nor Model Crisis, and does therefore not trigger a Model Revolution or Paradigm Change.
